Cross Country Skiing

Patrick was a terrific guide and skiing the West Summit was beautiful, real back country access right from the parking lot. I enjoyed the 4 hour adventure and Patrick was able to tailor the day from picking me up at my hotel, to bringing me a custom order lunch from BackCountry Deli (which is also fantastic), to selecting the trail, terrain, and pace to match my interest.

Third year in a row backcountry skiing with Rocky Mountain Ventures.

This past February, I returned again to spend a couple of great days backcountry ski touring with Patrick Meyer. This time, I brought another friend along who was new to backcountry skiing. As with me a couple of years ago, Patrick accompanied us to the Ski Haus in Steamboat Springs and helped my friend choose the appropriate rental gear. We spent the next two full days ski touring in the Rabbit Ears area near Steamboat Springs. The skiing was great, the scenery amazing and Patrick once again proved to be an excellent guide and instructor. My friend and I both look forward to returning next year.

Best part of my trip

Ice Climbing was one of the sports I never knew that I wanted to do, until it was suggested. Thank goodness it was, because it was amazing!! ...Seriously, if you are going to Steamboat Springs during the winter, you MUST go ice climbing with @Steamboat Climbing!!! Or, if you're going in the summer, I'm sure their summer activities are pretty good too :)
