History

Rocky Mountain Ventures was founded in the late eighties by Kevin Rusk, who was amongst the many who helped develop local climbing. He sold the business to Dave Fix in the mid nineties, who for years ran a local climbing gym in addition to the guide service, as well as, adding to the local climbing. In 2008, Fix sold the business to current owner Patrick Meyer, who moved to the Steamboat area in 2004 and began guiding for the company. Since taking over the business, Patrick has focused on local community climbing and local commercial guiding.
